Step into the ever-evolving worlds of Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ artist Randy the Raven, where experiences in urban, rez, punk rock, skate and WestCoast cultures shape-shift throughout years and mediums. From his early days in Ha-silth-sa comics to his current stencil/spray paint works on reclaimed wood, Shapeshifter is a testament to his growth and versatility in contemporary Indigenous creative practice.

Okiniwasnokwe (the artist’s great-grandmother’s name, meaning Rose Woman) makes visible dream methodologies and ancestral knowledges that comes through various Indigenous Creative Practice. Through video, sculpture, textile and beadwork, and with the use of contemporary and traditional materials, the viewer is pulled into the ceremonies that occur when cultural pieces are birthed into the physical world.

Through 9 creations in Re:birth, Margaret August shares a personal journey of transformation rooted in love and healing. Re:birth honours self-growth, finding one's voice, and walking in truth- contributing to healing of the collective consciousness. August's large, bold and exciting pieces highlight their traditional, Salish creative skills and are the foundation for this new body of work. Re:birth offers a view into Indigequeer futurities through the lens of a two-spirit Shíshálh creative and is not to be missed!
