Jody Bauche
Jody identifies as Metis on her mother’s side and Belgian on her father’s side. She has been a visitor on Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ lands for over 20 years. She is currently completing her Master of Communication at SFU, with a focus on a project for social change. Jody is a co-founder and lead administrator for the Culture Den Society, an Indigenous-led non-profit that was first created to produce multicultural, multigenerational, and transformative art practices. Jody has been a professional social worker for over two decades, with a specialized focus on advancing social change for Indigenous communities. Jody’s artistic interests are multidisciplinary, combining dance, movement, and dramaturgy. Jody is also mom to two boys, 10 and 11.
