"Maskwiomin is built on a respectful approach to traditional knowledge and modern research.
Our work is inspired by the long-standing use of birch bark in everyday life, and developed further through contemporary study and formulation — with a focus on creating high-quality skincare for today.
The traditional Mi’kmaq skincare creation known as Maskwiomin is rooted in the natural power of birch bark. However, this knowledge was nearly lost, as only two Elders in the First Nation community of Membertou in Sydney, Nova Scotia, remembered its origins."
