"Another term for us as Michif Two-Spirit folks. Taught to me by @mihkostikwan.beads who was shared this term by a Michif Elder, Jac Pelland.

Ever since learning this I’ve been contemplating. Si kom di loo. Like water. Fluid. We are fluid. I thought of water in my hands. Scooping water. Seeing how clear it is. I spent so much time near and on the water growing up. Water held me. Water calms me. So I decided on beading with a variety of clear and silver beads on blue velveteen to try and represent this way of describing who we are. Si kom di loo. Fluid.

I’ve been dialoguing and dreaming about Michif Two-Spirit regalia. This beadwork will be a part of my first set of Two-Spirit regalia. Ay hay to @firstpeoplesculturalcouncil for the funding to be able to make this dream come true!"
